 Guidelines for Abstract Submission
             
   
  • Software Requirements:
  • Microsoft Word or OpenOffice are recommended for preparing your abstract file. You can find the template with appropriate styles here.

    Plain text (.txt) format is also accepted. LaTeX users, please submit LaTeX files for the text (.tex) only.

    Abstract length should be restricted to one page, including the title, authors, institutions and the abstract body (including tables and graphics). The Presenting Author's name must be clearly indicated on the authors list. For additional information regarding software requirements, please contact gsaba2008@iqc.udg.edu.

    Here you can upload your abstract for the Book of Abstracts. Allowed formats are .doc, .ott, .txt and .tex.

    A filename that includes the author's surname and initials is stronlgy suggested

    Guidelines for lectures and short communications
         

      Lectures presentation are scheduled as follows:  
        35 minutes oral presentation  
      5 minutes for discussion  
      or*  
        25 minutes oral presentation
        5 minutes for discussion
         
      Short communications presentation are scheduled as follows:
        10 minutes oral presentation
        5 minutes for discussion
       
    * Look at the "Programme" section for more details

    Please, take into account that full-size posters can not be considered. Please, request for a short oral communication slot instead.

    A laptop under Windows XP and a TOSHIBA TLP511U digital projector will be available for presentations. The software installed supports Microsoft PowerPoint 95, 97 and 2000 versions as well as Adobe Acrobat.

    In case you will need another software version we suggest you to send us the presentation file before in order to test it in the computer and make the necessary arrangements in time. A transparency projector can also be available on request.

    In order to avoid unexpected problems with your presentation, please consider the following:

      - Use standard fonts (such as Arial or Times New Roman). Non-standard fonts may not be installed in the computer.  
     
      - Avoid to link the presentation to external software, as it may not be installed to fit your needs. If you have no alternatives, please send it before with a short description of the presentation in order to test and verify its full performance.
